Low Shade Tolerance
Kikuyu is a vigorous-growing medium-coarse subtropical grass. It requires fertile soil with plenty of moisture but also possesses good drought tolerance because of its deep roots. We do not recommend Kikuyu for high traffic areas such as sporting grounds. It is not very shade tolerant but is known to spread rapidly.
